Lemons! Everyone is in love with the lemon and Amalfi Coast themes this summer. It has been so much fun to design them so many ways. For this baby shower the clients wanted a nod to the lemon theme but for a baby girl without as much blue and white as you might traditionally see in this décor. We selected pink, coral and bright orange to bring a different twist to this look.
The coral rannuculus is perhaps one of my favorite blooms. Each stem is completely unique and the color is absolutely breathtaking. I knew I wanted to include those with the perfect bright pink of the ‘pink expression’ garden rose, orange colors in free spirit roses and summer zinnias grown right here in Dallas, yellows in both natural lemons and the whispy stems of butterfly rannuculus, and pale pinks by way of pink majolica spray roses and peach stock.
We knew we wanted a statement piece to bring the theme together. Social Llama Events had the perfect customized lemonade stand to serve as the ‘Limoncello Bar’ for the evening and it was a blast to add greenery and florals to dress up this already precious piece. Lawson Event Rentals always has the most beautiful selection of linens and rentals and their ‘coral lamour’ table linens elevated this evening with touches of gold from the chivari chairs.
Keeping with the theme, Fireova Pizza brought their beautiful hand tiled mobile oven to create custom pizzas al fresco for guests while they sipped custom limoncello cocktails from the always amazing bartenders from Silver Tray Staffing and snacked on a hand created large scale charcuterie board.
I loved the opportunity to create a fresh perspective on the lemons and Italian coastal theme that has been very popular this summer, and was so thrilled to bring this client’s vision to life with the help of some amazing vendor partners!
