When Ginna Wilbanks of The Scout Guide Dallas reached out to invite Petal and Field to be featured, I could not have been more thrilled! I grew up reading the Scout Guide in college and in my post college years and always admired its beautiful print format and perfectly curated local businesses, each with their own panache but all with the highest taste. It is an absolute honor to be featured in the 2023-2024 Scout Guide Dallas! For the editorial shoot I decided to do this in my backyard as it is a place of peace and relaxation for myself and my family, but also where we host our dear families and friends often. I curated a table of many of my favorite florals and colors with some special stems like lily of the valley and hydrangeas sourced from Holland and exquisite clooni rannuculus, blue tweedia, garden roses, asclepsias, delphinium and peonies. The vessel I designed in is vintage Herend and belongs to my mother in law, the sterling flatware is heirloom Reed and Barton Burgundy from my mother, and the china is our wedding china from Bernadaud. The team at Double R Brand in Dallas outfitted me in a perfectly tailored ruffle blouse and blush silk taffeta skirt. I am so thrilled with how these pictures from Jason Kindig turned out and excited for all of you in Dallas to discover the many incredible local business the Scout Guide promotes! Looking forward to an amazing year.
