Kari and I met three years back as I have designed the florals for her foundation’s noprofit event for a few years. We have always had a great professional relationship and her attention to detail and organization are unsurpassed. When Kari reached out to me in regards to designing her wedding I was so honored to do so. But then we started talking about design specifics and I cannot tell you how excited I was to hear about her love for dried florals and desire to creative an intimate, rustic, true to Texas ambiance with special colors and touches that are deeply personal to her and Danny. The Drover Hotel in Fort Worth was the perfect setting to create on their handmade in house farmhouse tables with fresh, dried and bleached florals from across the globe and a ceremony hoop created from pampas grass, dried chamomille, palm leaves, ruscus, eucalyptus, poppy pods and bunny tail. Every table was also filled with potted cacti and succulents in unique pots and vessels for guests to take home as a parting gift. When we had our mockup, Kari smiled and quietly said ‘you have captured me so well’. It brought tears to my eyes! The reason I am in this business is for moments like this when I can bring life to the personalities and emotions of each client I work with. It truly is the greatest privilege and my passion and every day I am more grateful I get to call this ‘work’. The final production on the big day came together perfectly thanks to an amazing team of vendors and the coordination of Clover Event Design. This unique wedding of neutral tones with light pops of yellow will always be a favorite design of mine for a favorite couple.
