A dear family friend reached out to me to design her son’s rehearsal dinner and said ‘so the bride loves purple!’ We talked through a few plans but decided on a palette of true purple to magenta to lilac and lavender with rich textured greenery to create a luxe evening at Café 43 for their rehearsal dinner. A live violinist greeted guests and mingled during the cocktail hour which was a perfect March evening in Dallas. Everyone was able to enjoy the florals we designed around the fountain of the outdoor terrace of the Bush Library before being seated for dinner. Lawson Event Rentals helped us curate a beautiful table with purple, lavender and silver hues and the head table sparkled with a large ‘floating’ floral installation and crystal chivari chairs. The tables were a mix of elevated designs, low compotes and ‘decontructed’ modern tables with Holland direct delphinium, mauve hellebores, lavender stock and sweet pea, and one of my favorite unique roses, Menta. We filled the room with floating candles and lush floral and it was the perfect start to their magical wedding weekend.
