It’s no secret… I love a surprise party! Some of my favorite memories growing up were from were surprise parties and I once planned an epic surprise trip for my husband. So when Diamond Affairs reached out to Petal and Field to help design florals for a group of best friends wanting to throw a boho-inspired baby shower surprise we jumped at the chance.
The beautiful Sendero Room at Fearing’s at the Ritz Carlton in Dallas is one of our favorite spaces to design in. It is elegant completely on its own but can be completely transformed. We worked with an incredible group of vendors on this day to design exactly what these sweet girlfriends had envisioned.
As you entered the room, an arch made of entirely baby’s breath greeted you with Balloons from Lushra. We hand painted half of the baby’s breath in a perfect sage green to complement the color palette and pillar candles sourced by Petal and Field. After passing under this dreamy arch you were greeted by gorgeous rentals from Perch Décor and the best of Texas cuisine from Fearing’s.
We created our ‘mini luxe’ arrangements for each of the cocktail and end tables with soft sage green cineria eucalyptus, champagne and quicksand roses, lisianthus and unique dried and bleached florals. We created two large statement pieces for the center of the room and the bar with dried pampas grass and roses, eucalyptus and lisianthus. Precious baby blocks from our friends at Social Llama and a balloon arch from Lushra framed the room and an elegant harpist entertained guests.
Megan Kay Photography captured the room perfectly and we loved seeing the sincerely surprised and joyful smile on the mother’s face! It was such an honor to work with Diamond Affairs on this beautiful baby’s celebration and I was very happy to see how it all came together!
